Free Xbox 360 Elite with Dell laptop
July 22nd, 2008
Dell computers have got together with Microsoft to bundle a new Xbox 360 Elite with their XPS 1730 laptop. Great offer, especially if you’re after a new Xbox, but know that you really need to get a laptop.
Ok, the laptop concerned is a gaming laptop, with 7200 RPM, 400 GB hard drive along with Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz/800Mhz FSB/6MB cache), but that just makes it future-proof, so it’ll last longer, right? (Personally, I use a gaming machine for my business, for the same reason. It just makes sense.)
I’m not entirely sure what Microsoft gets out of the deal. They definitely need to do something to improve their sales, now that the Wii is officially Number 1 in the US. The small price reduction on the 20gb console isn’t going to do it, either, and is obviously mainly aimed at clearing some space for the new 60gb offering.
