Xbox 360 repair

June 1st, 2009 at 09:05am Under rrod+ xbox 360

The notorious Red Ring of DeathThe Xbox 360 was acclaimed as the answer to Sony’s up and coming PS3, a machine that would take gaming to the next level and surpass the level of gaming that Sony’s Ps2 had enjoyed. Backed by one of the most powerful companies in the world (Microsoft) it had everything going for it, the graphics were breathtaking and the game play exceeded the anticipation of even the most critical gamer.

But with all things that are software and hardware based, there are possibilities that things may not go as planned. In the case of the Xbox 360, this all became obvious after it was released and a raft of sites around the internet began reporting cases of hardware failure that ultimately meant an Xbox 360 repair was needed.

One of the main causes of the Xbox’s problems was overheating. Due to the non-stop game play that these consoles were experiencing they began to overheat which meant the Xbox required repair.

Poor air flow was another reason that some of these consoles were experiencing hardware failures. If you do experience a problem with your Xbox then the first step you will want to take is to check the following website: xbox 360 repair

If you are one of the lucky ones that still do have a warranty then that’s great, you can either choose to have a replacement console or an Xbox 360 Repair. Make sure however that if your Xbox is still under warranty you don’t open the console case at any cost, as this will in fact void your warranty and you will not be able to get a free repair.

Still if on the other hand you have had your ‘box for a while and it is no longer is under warranty you may want to try and fix the console yourself, or you can choose to send it to a Xbox 360 repair service center where they can fix it for you at a cost that is likely to be in excess of $100. In addition you will have to wait a few weeks before they can actually repair it and send it back to you.

As I mentioned previously you may want to try to repair your Xbox yourself. There are many sites on the internet that can take you step by step through the repair operation. Ie recommend that if you do buy one of these guides that you make sure they offer video instructions as well, as just the process of taking apart the Xbox 360 can be quite daunting itself – but when you are actually watching somebody do it you can follow along which makes the whole process easier.

There are currently several websites that offer ebook and detailed video instructions of Xbox disassembly, the Xbox repair and of course reassembly so you should exercise due diligence when selecting which product to purchase. The repair itself (when heat related) is quite simple and can often be done in less than an hour.

Halo Wars update; Dashboard Update Warning; Don’t mess wi’ th’ Godfather

February 9th, 2009 at 04:17pm Under rrod+ xbox 360 games

Halo Wars is due out on 3 March. Ensemble and Microsoft are keeping details under wraps until February 20. A privileged few have had access to the game, and a hands-on review has just been posted by Lazy Gamer.

There are also a couple of video trailers, if you haven’t seen them already, on the Amazon products pages, both the Halo Wars standard edition and Halo Wars Limited. Amazon are offering the code for an in-game Warthog vehicle with flame decals with pre-orders of either version.

Worrying rumors are surfacing that the latest dashboard update – meant to fix HDMI sound issues – is causing some Xbox consoles to RROD. Several reports of Xboxes going into RROD either immediately after the update, or very shortly afterwards. This problem just doesn’t seem to go away, does it? Sure, it could be coincidence, but it just highlights the fact that the Xbox is the console most likely to collapse on you. You can bet that MS will be working hard behind the scenes to work out a fix, if there is one. Source

The best way to help protect your Xbox from this fate is to improve the cooling. There are plenty of options to choose from, the Intercooler TS from Nyko for $19.99, Epcon’s Xbox 360 Cooling Station for $29.99 or their Elite Cooling Station for only $17.99 to name just three.

Proving that messing with the Godfather is bad news, Paramount Pictures has just settled with Mario Puza’s estate for an undisclosed sum over voice acting included in The Godfather: The Game, by many of the film’s original cast. Source

My Xbox 360 Keeps Freezing Up – Find Out Why Does it Happen!

February 5th, 2009 at 09:05pm Under rrod

“Why the hell does my Xbox 360 keeps freezing up?!” Is this the biggest frustrations you ever had since you started playing console games? I can bet more than 50% of Xbox 360 users are experiencing this Xbox 360 freezing up problem, so if your Xbox 360 keeps freezing up, you actually have a few options to fix this problem that you can do all by yourself.

During the whole troubleshooting process, there is one main reason my xbox 360 keeps freezing up – Overheating!

We all know that Xbox 360 is a simplified version of a high end gaming PC. When you play games with especially high requirements it gets busy on the inside and guess what – it freezes!

One thing that I’ve done to solve my Xbox 360 from freezing up so often is to let it “breathe” better. Well, you can do this by simply taking out your Xbox 360 from the closed cabinet, or put it some where near the window to cool the system better.

Besides that, the another reason I’ve suspected on why my Xbox 360 keeps freezing up is the internal hardware that is malfunctioning. You’ll know when it happens because your Xbox 360 will freeze up and shows you the 3 rings of death.

For this, you are now down with 2 choices, either you send your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft for a $140 fees plus 6 months of no gaming, or you can fix the Xbox 360 freezing up problem yourself. However, the components of Xbox 360 are not as simple as you might thought it is, a simple error could damage the whole system.

Learning from a step-by-step Xbox360 repair guide is the best way you can do to save your time and cost to fix your Xbox 360 from freezing up. There are certain guides out there that shows you how to dismantle your Xbox 360 and repairing it, but most of them don’t include clear videos on the actual process.

Xbox 360 keeps freezing up no matter what you’ve done?

A high-definition video repair guide is exactly what you’ll need to start working on it, all by yourself without any fancy tools, all you need are simple household tool kits.

Exclusive GTA IV Zombie content “just a joke”

October 25th, 2008 at 01:57pm Under rrod+ xbox 360 games+ xbox gaming+ xbox live

GTA IV is zombie freeIt seems that the announcement on Rockstar’s site that there was to be exclusive Zombie content for Grand Theft Auto on the Xbox 360 was just a Halloween joke.

But the joke may turn out to be on them – quite a few people seem to’ve been looking forward to this new twist to an old game. Maybe they’ll have to do it anyway – if they can. Anyway, don’t hold your breath, it’s not going to happen any time soon, if at all.

August 10th, 2008 at 04:47pm Under buy xbox 360 console+ collectibles+ halo+ rrod+ xbox 360+ xbox gaming+ xbox live

Wow, don’t know how I missed this. This attractive Master Chief statue came in stock on the 6th. I got the notify but somehow it got buried. I just hope you don’t miss your chance to get this great Limited Edition statue of Master Chief with interchangeable arms and weapons (2 M7s or an Assault Rifle).

It’s detailed and pretty awesome, like most stuff produced by Kotobukiya, showing Master Chief standing on the field of battle, the bubble shield dissipating as he gets ready to enter the fray. Not many of these will be made available. This is one not to be missed. Click for more info.
