Gears of War Series 2 Action Figure SetIf the video below is to be believed, Microsoft has been developing an entirely new concept (outside of scifi novels, anyway) in game control – the whole body controller.

It’s obviously just an ad, and how well the device will work irl is anyone’s guess – plus I’m guessing one quick shot towards the end showing markers on one of the player’s bodies means swapping players may not be as easy as throwing a controller from hand to hand. But who knows?

Plenty of people will be in the queue when this goes on sale, for sure. And if you’re looking for testimonials, here ‘s one from film director Steven Spielberg (who designed the game Medal of Honor): “It was the most tactile experience I’ve had so far in a gaming space. I got a sense that I was inside the space more than I have on any other platform.” Sources: 1 2

Entertainment Earth has the Halo 3 Series 3 Human Flood Action Figure on special offer for a limited period. This 6-inch scale figure and accessories can be obtained for $10.99, a saving of $3 or 21%.

Another Halo 3 6-inch scale figure is just in. The Halo 3 Series 3 Red Hayabusa Spartan Soldier Action Figure is priced at $13.99.

A set of five 7-inch scale Gears of War Series 2 Action Figures for $75.49 seems like a great bargain to me. The set includes 1x Marcus Fenix with extra articulation, 1x Dominic Santiago, 1x Damon Baird, 1x Theron Guard without helmet, 1x Theron Guard with helmet all highly detailed and with appropriate accessories.
