In the UK? Get down to Tesco right now!

Xbox 360 Arcade

Here’s some great news for anyone in the UK who is in the market for a new Xbox. Tesco (“every little helps”) are offering the Xbox 360 Arcade for £148.71, with free delivery if you buy online.

If you get it from their Tesco Direct site (on this page), you get triple clubcard points - so if you get whoever you know that has a card to order it for you, they will get a little bonus at the end of the quarter.

This price is low enough that you need to get there as soon as you can, or order online right now, or they will likely all be gone. If you do miss it, Argos has them at £159.99 (according to the Tesco price comparison chart on the site).

Halo 3 Heroic, Legendary map packs - GTA IV Limited Edition announced

The Halo 3 Heroic map pack is now free on XBL - originally forecast for March 25th, but something went wrong. Anyway, you can get it now without using any of your stash of MS points.

Bungie also announced the Legendary map pack will go live on April 15th for 800 MS points. The company say this pack will “never be free” - but general opinion online is that this is just talk. The pack includes “Blackout,” which the developers say is a “human version of the previous ‘Lockout’” by popular demand, plus Ghost Town and Avalanche.

In other news, Microsoft announced a limited edition GTA IV console, basically a very nice black Elite with custom artwork and faceplate, which comes with a briefcase full of accessories including a wireless controller with keyboard. These are all in the standard off-white Xbox color scheme, though. Only 500 will be issued, Microsoft say, so if you want one, best start saving your pennies now.

Xbox 360 News is Moving, Ed Dale and the Queen of England

Queen struck by RROD

I’m finding Tumblr more difficult to use than another blog I have running on Word Press, and I still can’t get the widgets working in the sidebar, so I’ve decided to move it over. This will most likely take a couple of days.

In the meantime, proof that the RROD has no favorites comes from Ed Dale, internet marketer best known for the Thirty Day Challenge, who was playing a new game he received for his birthday when rrodoom struck.

For some reason, I got this image of the Queen of England watching Prince Phil play Halo 3, “One is cheering One on!” and struck down by the Red Ring. Lol.
