According to one of the classier British newspapers, the Guardian, an insider has informed them that the root cause of the failures which are so familiar to Xbox users is the GPU (graphics processor unit). This little bitch is overheating so much that it can warp the motherboard, which makes the solder joints fail, and there you have it: RROD.
There’s currently a wave of bloggers offering a video on how to fix this problem, but it would be better, if you can manage it, to take steps to avoid it in the first place. Either way, you are going to screw your warranty, as you need to open the case.
Information on cooling mods are on the Third Halo site under the heading Xbox 360: Cool it.

The good news for Halo fans is that Halo 2 is still at number 1 on the Original Live titles list.
Will Halo 3 fans fight back and return the title to its rightful position? Or have they been deserting to the Enemy Camp?
