Can’t you tell it’s nearly Present Giving Time!

No less than 39 titles are due for release this month, seven of them today: Quantum of Solace, Tom Clancy’s End War, Legendary, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, History Civil War: Secret Missions, Secret Service and Namco Museum: Virtual Arcade Compilation. Tomorrow sees the release of Vigilante 8: Arcade (Xbox Live Arcade) and Gears of War 2 comes out on Friday. The rest of the month is just as busy.

The good news is there’s something for everyone. The bad news is, non-gamers trying to buy gifts for gamers are going to get pretty confused.

This is a serious situation. If you’re expecting your favorite game as a gift this year, you’re going to have to be really specific about the one you want, or push for the chance to get it yourself, so you end up with the right one. There’s nothing much worse than opening that game-shaped package from under the tree and finding something lame inside…
