No more Belgian game rentals; EA in trouble; GoW2 interview

Seems that game companies don’t want you to save money by renting your games, so if you live in Belgium and like to rent your games, you’re going to have to drive over the border to get them from 1 December. But you’ve most likely started doing that anyway, for new titles.

EA laid off 6% of its staff, or more than 500 employees, after reporting losses of $310 million in the third quarter. Just how much were they paying these guys? Seems unlikely that games rental made that much difference. The company is pinning the blame on the late release of the latest Harry Potter film, and the spin-off game that will accompany it.
